How to Prepare Aptamil Follow On Milk

Feeding Guide

  • One beaker: Seven level scoops (one scoop equals 4.8 grams) with 210 milliliters of water
  • After six months, once weaning is established, we recommend 500 to 600 milliliters per day
  • Always use the provided scoop (color may vary)

Preparation Instructions

  1. Wash and sterilize all utensils.
  2. Boil one liter of fresh water and allow it to cool for 30 minutes, ensuring it remains at 70 degrees Celsius. Pour the required amount into a sterilized beaker. Do not use softened or repeatedly boiled water.
  3. Add powder using the provided scoop according to the feeding guide. Level each scoop with a clean, dry knife. Do not press or heap the powder.
  4. Shake well by securing the lid and shaking vigorously for at least 10 seconds until fully dissolved.
  5. Cool the formula by running the sealed beaker under cold water or placing it in a bowl of cold water. Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist to ensure it is lukewarm before feeding. Discard any leftover formula within two hours.

Storage and Safety Advice

  • Prepare fresh feeds as needed. Do not store prepared formula.
  • Do not heat formula in a microwave, as hot spots may cause burns.
  • Never add extra scoops or any additional ingredients, as incorrect preparation can be harmful.
  • Never leave your baby unattended during feeding.

Important Notice

Breastfeeding is best. Follow-on milk is suitable for babies over six months as part of a mixed diet and should not be used as a breastmilk substitute before six months. Consult a healthcare professional before introducing this product earlier.

Prolonged contact of milk with teeth can cause tooth decay. Clean your baby's teeth after their last feed at night and consult a healthcare professional or dentist for advice.
